If you’re after a Christmas dinner with family or friends this year but nobody can be bothered to go through the hassle of cooking, then fear not we have it covered. Take a look through some of Sheffield’s finest restaurants serving up a festive feast this December!
The York – Broomhill
Just up from the City Centre in Broomhill, The York is a lovely little pub serving up a delightful Christmas offering in their very own gastro pub style, along with the great selection of ales. 3 courses come in at £22.95 but you should definitely take advantage of the offer of pre-ordering with half a bottle of wine for £28.95. Starters are typically festive. The classic turkey main is served with a confit leg and ham ballotine whilst beef, salmon and a vegetarian option are also on the menu for you other lot. Well worth a visit.
Anchorage – West One
About as City Centre as you can possibly get. Anchorage has been serving up East Coast delicacies and craft beer with great success for well over a year now. For £25 you get 3 courses of East Coast Kitchen festivity where each of the options on the menu infuse a subtle touch of America into our traditional Christmas dinner. If that’s a touch out of your price range, get yourself in before 3pm Monday to Friday and save yourself a fiver!
The Old House – Division Street
Famed for their remarkable collection of world gins, The Old House have rustled up a delightful Christmas menu for you to feast your eyes in. Just round the corner from Anchorage (and a little cheaper too) if you have better pigs in blankets anywhere else I’ll be amazed! Homemade pork and chestnut sausages compliment the turkey and festive trimmings like a dream!
3 courses – £19.95. 3 courses & your first drink – £23.45. 3 courses & a glass of prosecco – £23.95
Graze Inn – Ecclesall Road
The chef has produced a fantastic seasonal menu for Christmas this year making sure you can celebrate in style.
They are open throughout the festive period great lunches, dinners and Christmas get-togethers.
Lunch will set you back £18 per person with dinner (or tea, as we prefer) costing £22 per person. Both prizes consist of a festive 3 course meal and a mulled win/glass of prosecco upon arrival. Winner.
The Prince of Wales – Ecclesall Road South
Carry on past Graze Inn and up over Hunters Bar you will get to The Prince of Wales. Standing majestically on the road corner, this stylish pub has the feel of a grand old country pub but still within the City centre boundaries.
3 courses here will cost you £24.95 – but you won’t be disappointed one bit. The meat is succulent, the starters and deserts ooze class, and the vegetarian option (pumpkin and amaretti pasta) rivals even the finest cut of meat.
