eSkills for Jobs Competition – Young digital talent
Enter the competition for your chance to win prizes and a trip to Luxembourg!
If you are between 16 and 30 and are interested in animations and coding, eSkills for Jobs 2015 are running a European Video Competition. This opportunity is a fantastic chance for you to showcase your skills and have a go at animation and coding!
No prior experience is required to take part, all you have to do is follow the tutorial on their website and start the game.
It won’t even take you that long to get going, only around ten minutes!
Animations are to be submitted through eSkills’ YouTube channel. A winner and a runner up will be invited to the award winning ceremony on 14-15 December 2015 in Luxembourg and will receive a prize. The flight and accommodation will be covered by the eSkills for Jobs Campaign.
Who can participate?
Young people between the age of 16 and 30 who are interested in coding and animation.
If you believe you can demonstrate:
- Good digital skills;
- Motivation and willingness to design an online story;
- Creative ideas and the ability to implement them.
The rules are simple:
Produce a 1 min 30 sec (max) video presenting an animation in HTML5 that you developed through our application
Submission is simple:
- Enter the online application here and familiarise yourself with it. Produce a video of 1 min 30 sec (max).
- Upload the video on your YouTube channel.
- Submit your nomination by completing the submission form here below (include as well the link to your video and your email address).
N.B! A video cannot contain offensive, abusive, sexually explicit or other inappropriate content. A video cannot contain any material to promote sale of a product or service.
Deadline for submission of videos is 31 October 2015.
In mid-November 2015, the winner and runner-up will be notified via email.
The winner and runner-up will be awarded during the eSkills conference on Monday 14 December 2015 in Luxembourg. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the eSkills for Jobs campaign. Your animation will be disseminated on the campaign social media networks, website and press release. The winner and the runner-up will receive a prize.
The winner of the Young Digital Talent category will receive a trip to Berlin to take part in the Academy Day (18 February 2016) held during the Cisco Live EMEAR event. This prize is sponsored by CISCO.
The runner-up of the Young Digital Talent category will receive a tablet, sponsored by Samsung.
